SLS South Beach is a luxury hotel on Miami's South Beach. Trendsetting designer Philippe Starck conjured a world of radical chic that nods to the hedonistic excesses of the 18th century French aristocracy, fusing Old World savoir-faire with high-end contemporary comfort. With a new Michelin Star restaurant opening in the hotel, they wanted to revamp their social media presence to be more in line with their maximalist interior design & branding.
I approached the design of new social media templates & icons by focusing on the fusion of old & new. Maximalist with a modern touch. SLS is a place to see, and be seen. A place where you will rub shoulders with the most recognized and famed. With the creation of these new social media templates, I wanted the viewer to feel like they were at the center of the show.
I designed a slew of Instagram story templates using their visual language and branding. Additionally, using 3D software, I created a set of highlight icons for their various social media accounts. All icons resemble "beach floaties", mirroring the carefree luxury SLS is all about.
